Physiotherapy

As a physiotherapist I am passionate about helping you to live the healthiest and happiest life you can. I really enjoy enabling my patients to achieve their goals, whether this is to return to full fitness following an injury or surgery, to reduce pain, or to improve mobility, strength, posture or function.

I do this by completing a thorough assessment, both through talking to the patient and by looking at their joint movement, muscle strength and posture to determine a diagnosis. This then allows an appropriate treatment plan to be determined which can involve manual therapy such as soft tissue mobilisations and joint mobilisations, strengthening exercises, stretches and advice about posture and returning to specific activities such as work and sport. I am also able to provide acupuncture for pain relief and am qualified to teach Pilates.

It is important to me to understand exactly what you are struggling with and what you want to be able to do so that you can achieve the best possible outcome with physiotherapy.

I have many years experience within the NHS, private clinic and sports clubs, of assessing, treating and rehabilitating many different injuries and conditions. I also have many years experience of providing rehabilitation after surgery and working with patients to manage long-term conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, hypermobility and fibromyalgia.

I am a member of several professional bodies related to physiotherapy which means that I comply with strict regulations for qualifications, professional standards and ongoing training.
